Join CCE Madison at the beautiful Farmstead 1868 on Monday, November 4th from 9 to 11:30am for a field tour, discussion of developing farm enterprises, and a delicious brunch from Prime 67 Market and Deli.
Farmer host Monica Cody will share the story of Farmstead 1868’s lavender fields, how they grew out of the family dairy farm, and how she approached the opportunities and challenges of launching a new farm enterprise. We will then have a facilitated discussion around the opportunities and challenges of starting and building a farm-based business.
Whether you are an established farm looking towards a new business idea, or a newer farm looking to find your niche, we will talk resources and considerations that can support your business development process, and there will be time for conversation with other expanding farm business owners.
This workshop is sponsored in part by Farmland for a New Generation New York.
Free, but preregistration is required by October 29.
