Cornell Cooperative Extension Madison County is hiring a Finance & HR Coordinator to support financial and human resource functions. Key responsibilities include:

• Financial Management
• Assist with financial strategy, budgeting, and grant management
• Monitor budgets, process payments, and maintain financial records
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Prepare financial reports and assist with audits
• Human Resources Coordination
• Oversee payroll processing and employee transactions
• Support hiring procedures and compliance with HR policies
• Ideal Candidate
• Experience in nonprofit financial management
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively

Environment & Nature Internship

Cornell Cooperative Extension Madison County is hiring an Environment & Nature Intern to support youth and adult environmental education programming this summer.

• Youth Programming Support 
  • Plan and implement summer nature programs for youth
  • Support outreach at events like the County Fair and Open Farm Day
  • Assist with tabling and community engagement
• Adult Environmental Education
  • Assist with research, surveys, and program evaluation
  • Support written and verbal communication efforts
  • Help develop and deliver educational content
• Ideal Candidate
  • Studying environmental science, biology, botany, or related fields
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team-oriented and independently motivated
  • Passion for community impact and nonprofit work
