Custodian

Location: Morrisville, NY

Schedule: Part-time

This position supports the day-to-day maintenance and cleanliness of our facilities. The custodian plays an important role in keeping spaces safe, functional, and welcoming for staff, volunteers, and community members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing
  • Maintain restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
  • Empty trash and recycling and manage waste removal
  • Complete light maintenance tasks such as painting and minor repairs
  • Assist with seasonal duties including snow removal and basic grounds care

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently


Nutrition and Gardening Internship

Dates: Summer 2026 (May–August, 12 weeks)
Schedule: Part-time, ~20 hours/week
Compensation: $18/hour

This internship offers hands-on experience in community nutrition and food systems. Interns will support farmers market outreach, lead cooking demonstrations using seasonal produce, and help connect community members to healthy, affordable food resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with cooking demos and nutrition education programs
  • Develop simple, low-cost recipes and educational materials
  • Support farmers market outreach and SNAP-related programming
  • Help coordinate garden-based learning activities

Community Gardens Internship

This internship provides hands-on experience in community gardening and sustainable growing practices. Interns will work alongside staff and volunteers to maintain the Community Learning Garden while supporting educational programs and outreach efforts.

  • Help with educational programming and garden-based activities
  • Contribute to garden-related communications and outreach
