Are you passionate about youth development and ready to make a positive impact in your community? Cornell Cooperative Extension Madison County is seeking a dedicated 4-H Educator to help shape the future of young people through dynamic Animal Science, STEM, Ag, Horticulture, and traditional 4-H programming!
What You'll Do:

Lead Engaging Programs: Deliver and coordinate exciting 4-H programs for youth, including Animal Science, STEM, Ag, Horticulture, and more, utilizing both traditional and innovative teaching methods.

Foster Youth Development: Assist in the planning and delivery of programs like 4-H Explorer’s Club, county fairs, and special events to nurture and develop young minds.

Be a Resource for the Community: Serve as a trusted resource for 4-H participants, families, and community organizations, helping to address their needs and promote youth development.

Collaborate and Innovate: Work with staff, volunteers, and community leaders to enhance the 4-H experience and integrate new tools and practices for maximum impact.

Make a Lasting Impact: Evaluate programs and use feedback to continuously improve and grow the reach and effectiveness of 4-H programming.

- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with 2 years of transferable program experience.
- Passion for working with youth and diverse audiences, along with strong communication skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver educational programs through various methods (including in-person and online).
- Experience with volunteer management is a plus, as well as a background in Animal Science or youth development.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, along with the ability to travel for program delivery.
