Farmland for a New Generation New York is a program coordinated by American Farmland Trust in partnership with the State of New York, agricultural organizations (like CCE Madison), land trusts, and other organizations committed to keep land in agriculture. FNG helps farmers who are seeking land access, landowners who want to keep their property in farming, and established farms that want to enhance their viability and land security.
The program offers a statewide Resource Center with expert advisers, a website featuring training materials and listings of farmers searching for land, and a listing of land available for farming.
Farmland for a New Generation New York supports a network of Regional Navigators - partner organizations with dedicated staff that provide training and on-the-ground customized support for farmers and landowners in regions across New York. CCE Madison is excited to be a partner Regional Navigator. With Farmland for a New Generation New York, we offer services to help farmland seekers (new farmers and younger generations of farm families) while supporting retiring farmers and other farmland owners and operators to successfully manage, expand, or transfer farm operations.
