Animal Science
4-H members have the opportunity to explore animal related projects to enhance their knowledge and skills in animal science. These projects encourage personal development and increase life skills. The 4-H program has active programs for youth interested in dogs, rabbits & cavies, dairy & beef, sheep, goats, swine, poultry, and horses. These opportunities are for everyone, whether you own an animal or not! Some of the events Madison County 4-H members may participate in are:
The 4-H animal science program has the opportunity to be expanded to other species as the interest arises.
Livestock ID Forms and other required records (see species ID forms) are due to the office June 1st of EACH YEAR in order to compete at the Madison County Fair or the State Fair. Please see the Madison County 4-H Rules/Regulations Book for other specific requirements.
