Susan has over 14 years of experience in finance administration including 6 years in nonprofit accounting.She been the Finance Coordinator for CCE Madison County since September 2021 where she has provided guidance on finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.Susan has developed strong working relationships with the Board of Directors and Management of CCE Madison County to ensure project planning includes clearly defined budgets that align with program goals.One of the things she enjoys most about her position is sharing financial and internal control policies with staff.“Communication skills is one of the most important aspects of my job” she said, “it helps to strengthen the organization when everyone is aware of the importance of internal controls in a nonprofit setting-not just what the rules are, but why internal controls and accounting policies should be applied”.
Susan enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, and skiing.In the summer, she enjoys gardening and sailing on Lake Ontario.She also enjoys travelling expeditions and has enjoyed trekking in Italy and Nepal and plans to travel to South America in the coming year.
