If you farm or garden, your eyes are often on the skies. Simple events such as a warm spring, late frost, drought, or early season snowfall can make the difference between a successful year and an unsuccessful one. Observing the weather at your location and studying patterns can help you to identify issues as they are arising and, in some cases, mitigate some of the negative impacts. In this session, we will discuss how to set up a weather station in your backyard and begin taking measurements, as well as how to use that information to understand the climate in your location.
