Nourish NY Food Distribution Comes to Madison County Sept 3rd
On Thursday September 3rd from 3pm-6pm, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County will be working in partnership with the CNY Food Bank and NYS Ag and Markets to bring a Nourish New York food distribution of fresh agricultural products to approximately 700 people in Madison County.
Food products such as produce, meat, eggs, dairy, and fresh vegetables, all from New York State producers, can be picked up free of charge from 3pm-6pm at the distribution site located at the Morrisville-Eaton High School, 5061 Fearon Road in Morrisville.
CCE Madison staff and volunteers will be there to place the products in your vehicle.Procedures:follow the directional signage to the distribution stations, remain in your vehicle, a food distribution worker will bring the food to your car. For the safety of all, face coverings are to be worn as you approach the distribution station.
Governor Cuomo’s Nourish New York Initiative provides $25 million in funding to food banks for the purchase of agricultural food products from New York State farms and processors.You can read more about the program by visiting this site: https://agriculture.ny.gov/NourishNY
