Katie grew up on a dairy farm in Herkimer County, and was very involved in 4-H, FFA, Herkimer County Dairy Promotion, and showing dairy cows as a youth. After high school, Katie attended SUNY Cobleskill and received an Associate’s Degree in Ag Business Management in May of 2023 before transferring to Purdue University. At Purdue, Katie received a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business Marketing, with a minor in Farm Management and a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in May of 2025. During her college years, she was active in the Ag Business Club, Dairy Cattle Club, Sigma Alpha, National Agri-Marketing Team, and was a Transfer Student Mentor for the Purdue College of Agriculture.

Now, Katie is back on her family’s dairy farm and is excited to be a part of the CCE team. Her role as the Local Foods Educator focuses on supporting local agriculture through product diversification, agritourism promotion, value added opportunities, marketing, and driving consumer demand for local foods.
