Seed to Supper Project Roles and Responsibilities
Garden Educators (Volunteers) Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead/
Facilitate already prepared Power Point classes for program participants
at community host venues. Sign up to volunteer at either of these
sessions.
- Morning
sessions 10am-1pm at CCE Madison; Morrisville, NY
- Afternoon
sessions 4:30pm-7:30pm at Canastota Public Library in Canastota
- Must
complete a comprehensive preparation training, being held on February 25th
at 9:30am at CCE Madison in Morrisville. Trainings are usually a one-day
intensive program. Training builds the educator’s skills working in teams
and provides instruction on how to effectively engage diverse adult
audiences.
- This
is a volunteer position, and anyone volunteering for CCE Madison must
complete a background check and a driver's record check provided by CCE
Madison.
- Work
with the Host Agency (Canastota Public Library or CCE Madison) to
coordinate logistics for class times

3rd: Caring for Your Growing Garden (part 2)

10th: Harvesting and Using Your Bounty
Teaching Garden workdays will also be scheduled a few times during these 6 weeks. You'll be able to guide participants in planting activities, weeding and caring for mixed vegetable raised beds, fruit trees and shrubs and assist in the maintenance of this living classroom!
