We're excited to announce a series canning classes! Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, our series has something for everyone. Join us for one or all of the classes, each designed to help you preserve your harvest and enjoy delicious, home-canned goods all year long.
This program will help you learn the basics of Pressure Canning by demonstrating how to prepare and can a low-acid food item (probably meat depending on what's available). Pressure canning is used in low-acid foods such as meats, green beans, squash and corn. This class will give you the confidence to continue pressure canning in your own home. Bring your questions and be prepared to help with the process.
Betty Clark is a Master Preserver Volunteer with many years of experience with canning.
