We're excited to announce a series of three canning classes! Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, our series has something for everyone. Join us for one or all of the classes, each designed to help you preserve your harvest and enjoy delicious, home-canned goods all year long.
This program will help you learn the basics of Hot Water Bath Canning by demonstrating how to prepare and can a high-acid food. Hot Water Bath canning is used in high-acid foods such as jams and jellies, pickles and more. This class will give you the confidence to continue Hot Water Bath canning in your own home. Bring your questions and be prepared to help with the process. Participants can return to the First Baptist Church in Brookfield at a later date to take home a jar of their canned item after they have cooled. Betty Clark is a Master Preserver Volunteer with many years of experience with canning.
