Open Farm Day

Open Farm Day is an annual free event in Madison County where you can visit local farms, meet farmers and animals, and learn about agriculture. It's a fun and educational day celebrating our vibrant farming community!

When is Open Farm Day? 

Planning is in the works for 2025's Open Farm Day, which will be held on July 26, 2025. Stay tuned here for more details in the next few months! If you were involved in Open Farm Day in the past, or if you have questions about how to be involved for the first time, please contact the office.

Sponsors are an essential part of making Open Farm Day a success! Each year Open Farm Day, which attracts around 5,000 visitors from 22 states to tour Madison County farms. This great event is kept free and open to the public by the generous sponsorship of farm and community organizations.	Open Farm Day registration is coming soon for 2025. As an inclusive event, any kind of farm operation in Madison County is welcome to participate. Participation does require some commitments on the part of farms. We encourage all farms to carefully read through and consider participation requirements before deciding whether or not taking part in Open Farm Day is a good fit for their farm. If you have any questions or concerns regarding participation requirements or Open Farm Day policies, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We would like to thank all of the farms that have taken part in Open Farm Day since its inception. Each year we have farms return and new farms join us. This event draws visitors from around the county and even some from out of state. Let's keep up the great work we are doing to make Madison County farms a terrific place to visit. Madison County farms and Open Farm Day provide a great opportunity for the public to become more informed of the importance of agriculture.
